The Pizza Place in my town has three

tables of the same size. The Chicken

N Chips restaurant has four of the

same sort of table.

The Chicken N Chips can just seat 24

people. How many people can The

Pizza Place seat?

The answer is = Eight

Now a third of the seats at The Chicken N Chips were

empty and a half of the places at The Pizza Place were

empty. If 18 more people wanted to eat out, how many

would have to be turned away from the two restaurants?

The answer is = Six

Jennie the old sheep dog is lazing around in the paddock near the house. She counts the number of animals in the paddock. There are 11 of them, pigs and ducks. The her eye runs over the legs. She sees 28 legs. How many ducks are there?  11

Show and not Tell - Fiafia

Before Fiafia

I was Hungry.

My tummy was making some funny noises, there was a lot of food.

Prior to fia fia I was feeling nervous.

I was really struggling and my heart was struggling by beating I was sweating hard out my hand wouldn't stop shaking.

This week was Fiafia a cultural festival that was part of our community and reaching our level for success.

I always dream to be part of the Fia fia for our community over and over again. My life always want to reach up my levels for my culture.

After Fiafia

I love the dress.

I was really proud of our dresses it was beautiful and the roses on our dresses was bright red.

Existing for performing.

I keep practising my dance at I wouldn’t stop dreaming of me performing for Fia fia

Watching people dance.

It was greatful of the people dancing for their culture and my eye wouldn’t stop looking at them dance.

Information Report

1. Introduction

My animal is about Green Turtle the reason why because my family works to look after it and give them medicine and take care of their baby. Green Turtles are the national animals for my family, in the pacific ocean there are like tons of Turtles out there to swim in the deep sea and they are really precious and Beautiful why they have a shell so it can protect them from predator and the have fin to help them swim faster.

2. Body of the report

Green Turtles has over skeleton. Skeleton, skeleton holds the hard shell and it protect itself from predictor. Green Turtles has two fin in the front and two fin at the back it helps them to swim fast and helps them to dig holes to put their eggs in it and cover it with sand. Green Turtles has a small head and has a really good pattern on their shell.

In Samoa there  lot of rules about Turtles. The shells of the Turtles is really hard sometimes Turtles can get kamal flush to a rock. When turtles are not in the sea they are really really slow to walk but swimming is faster for them to swim or walk.

There are two types of Green Turtles there are, Atlantic Turtles and Eastern Pacific green turtle. 80 countries around the world their are a lot of Green Turtles on their beach. Guess what, did you know that Turtle can live for 100 years and they can over 150 year old my grandpa had a little Turtle when he was born and his Turtle in 71 year old.

5. A concluding paragraph

Did you know that there all kinds of Turtles like Totus, Hawksbill, Loggerhead, Olive Ridley, common snappers and especially my favourite Turtle is Galapagos giant tortoise. All kinds of Turtles can live for 100 year and some of them survive for 200 years.

Why's the Moon upside down

After reading the text and the diagrams, what does the information tell us?

Niko and Anne was close like they are friends. Niko email Anne from Japan he use to lived in New Zealand. Niko email about something becoming weird he email about moon, the moon was upside down but  because the it in the wrong place and Rona and the tree is upside down. The Moon look fine but at Japan was different.

Rona’s Legend

Long long time ago since we weren’t born yet there was mother and father that to get some food from afar. Once the mother woke up and her children were really thirsty so Rona went to get some water by the river and Marama the moon, the moon lead her to the river by her light then there was no light appear from the sky and she slipped on some rock then she started murmuring about Marama.  Suddenly the moon got really angry because of Rona, then Maramas light shine upon her and grabbed her and Rona grabbed the branch from the tree and sadly the top to the roots of the tree came of and now theres a mark on the moon and that was Rona.

What do the diagrams tell us?

Why is the moon upside down and the reason why is there is another moon up top and Nicos up top because he’s in Japan and Anne’s at the bottom and New Zealand at the bottom and this is how I show my diagram is to get a global and draw a half line onto it and the top one is the upside down one and New Zealand got the right one.
